The Plymouth Law School Law Clinic Refugee Family Reunion Project involves one OISC (Officer of the Immigration Service Commissioner) registered supervisor from the School of Law Faculty, law students and works in partnership with the Red Cross.

The aim is to assist refugees who have been separated from family to reunite. Students assist with casework under supervision and provide support gathering relevant evidence.

Between January and May 2016 the project supported over 30 families. The applications for family reunification can be quite onerous yet it is essential for people in terms of their happiness, capacity for integration, their well-being and mental health.
